I was writing a response to you when my nail hit a key and it disappeared, so you might get two of them. Where are you, what are you doing, and what's wrong? Tell us and then maybe people can offer you some worthwhile advice. Do you think that you made a difference by being a PCV in Benin? Do you think the people you served think that you made a difference? Why did you decide to stay? It's probably horrible at first to realize you made a commitment to go without comforts and possibly without appreciation for a long, long time. Those of us comfortably sitting in America with our relatively plush jobs and lives have no idea what you are experiencing, except for what Sean told us through Otherways. I know that many people's appreciation of the PC and of the third world has grown tremendously through reading Otherways.
