Please accept my hearty congratulations for the fine post you were assigned to! I was stationed there myself late in 1993. The Atakora is far and away more beautiful than the Borgou (I was there for awhile, too). I lived in the Mayors house while I lived in Ouake and spent most of my time down on the border. I'm a fringe dwelling kind of fellow by nature and Ouake was the perfect place for me. Since Benin I have spent alot of time in Portugal, southern Spain, and PARIS!
