Could anyone on this site email me and tell me (since it seems a few of you have gone through the whole application process), I have been nominated for service in Africa, and about a week ago sent in my medical forms. They said I would be leaving in June. . . but it's almost April now! Does anyone know of the probability I'll get to go, or did the medical clearance take awhile? A lot of people here seem to have received their invitations for June quite early, and I was just wondering? Also, is volunteer experience a big, big deal? I haven't had much, just a liberal arts major with a little tutoring experience.
